Climent Molins

Climent Molins Borrell

Climent Molins Borrell is Civil Engineer and Full Professor at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC-BarcelonaTech).

His expertise is in static and dynamic structural analysis, including numerical modeling, testing, monitoring, design and strengthening. His research includes masonry structures, tunnel linings, fiber reinforced concrete and off-shore floating structures. Prior to the full time position at the University in 2004, as practitioner he had been responsible for more than 100 structural projects.
He has coordinated several Spanish and European research projects. He is inventor of 5 patents. He has supervised 12 PhD thesis in the fields of experimental and numerical analysis of concrete and masonry structures, and of floating off-shore wind turbines.

He has been involved in technical projects with private companies and public administrations contributing to innovative designs and analysis of interventions for bridges, tunnels, large tanks and structures belonging to the architectural heritage.

He was awarded with the David Parkin visiting professorship at the University of Bath, U.K.
