Master Course in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions (SAHC)

The members of the group of Historical & Masonry Structures are lecturers of the Erasmus Mundus Master Course in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions (SAHC). The Technical University of Catalonia (UPC-BarcelonaTech) is one of the institution of the consortium of the SAHC Master, together with the University of Minho (Guimaraes, Portugal), the Czech Technical University in Prague (Prague, Czech Republic) and the University of Padova (Padova, Italy).

The SAHC Master is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

The objective of SAHC is to offer an advanced education programme on the engineering of conservation of structures, with a focus on architectural heritage. The main focus of this training is the application of scientific principles in analysis, innovation and practice of conservation of monuments and historical constructions worldwide.

The SAHC Master Course has duration of one academic year and is held on a rotating basis among partners, so each student follows coursework in one partner institution and dissertation in another one. The language of instruction and examinations is English. The degree awarded is a Master’s degree, provided as a double degree from the institutions involved.

Scholarships sponsored by the European Commission are available to both third-country and Europeans applicants. Additionally, a number of scholarships financed by the Consortium are planned for students from any geographical origin. Scholarships are also available for outstanding third-country scholars who are interested in contributing to the Master Course programme.
